Pegasus
Winged horse, Flying horse, Pegasi
Pegasus, the white winged horse of Greek myth, combines a horse's strength with the freedom of flight. One story says a spring burst from the rock where his hoof struck Mount Helicon, and poets drank from it for inspiration, so he has long been linked with creative ideas taking off. Dreaming of him often comes when your imagination is stirring or a plan is about to lift off the ground. The hero Bellerophon tamed Pegasus with a golden bridle, then fell when he tried to ride all the way up to the gods, a reminder that ambition needs a little humility.
