Medusa
Gorgon, Snake-haired woman, Medusa's gaze
In Greek myth, Medusa had living snakes for hair, and anyone who met her gaze was turned to stone. Dreaming of her often has to do with a look or a presence that freezes you: a critical boss, a sharp-tongued relative or a fear you can't face head-on. Yet the Greeks also painted her face on shields and over doorways to keep harm away, so Medusa can be a fierce protector as well. If you were Medusa in the dream, your anger or your power to stop people in their tracks may be greater than you realize.
