Parallel universe
Alternate reality, Parallel world, Another dimension
Everything looks almost right, but the details are off: your street has a different name, a friend doesn't know you, or a decision went the other way years ago. Dreams of a parallel universe let you test a different set of rules for your life. They often come when you're weighing a big choice and your mind is playing out the options side by side. The strangeness is a clue: notice what was changed, because that may be exactly what you're questioning. Coming back to your own world with relief suggests you value your real life more than you sometimes admit.
