Imposter
Impostor, Someone pretending to be a loved one, Fake version of someone
Your mother, partner or best friend looks exactly right, yet something tells you it isn't really them. Imposter dreams can leave a chill, but they're usually about change rather than danger. They often come when someone close is acting differently, growing in a new direction or going through something you can't share, so the old picture of them no longer fits. Sometimes the imposter is you: a sense that you're faking your way through a role and will be found out any day. Either way, the dream asks you to get to know the person as they are now.
