Dirt
Soil, Getting dirty, Covered in dirt
Dirt is honest stuff: the ground you stand on, the soil seeds grow in, the smudge on a child's knee after a good day outside. In a dream it often goes with practical, hands-on involvement and not minding a mess if it gets something done. Kneeling with bare hands in the earth hints at a wish to get back to basics and feel solid ground under you. Tracking dirt across a clean floor may show a worry that your mess, practical or emotional, is spilling into someone else's space. Someone digging up dirt on you suggests worry about gossip or old mistakes. Rich, dark soil is a hopeful sign of fertile ground for new ideas.
