Chameleon

Chameleons, Pet chameleon

A chameleon changes color, rolls each eye in a different direction and moves with slow, swaying steps, as if it has all the time in the world. Its most famous trick ties it to adapting: matching your words, your style or your opinions to whoever is around. That can be a real social gift, or a sign you're hiding your own shade to keep everyone comfortable. In fact, chameleons change color mostly to show how they feel and to handle heat, not to hide, so the dream may be asking which feelings you're showing without meaning to.

Dream variations

• A chameleon changing color in front of youSomeone is adjusting to please you, or you're doing it for them. Ask what they really think, and tell them what you think too.
• A chameleon that can't change colorYou don't fit in somewhere, and that may be fine. Your own color is easier to wear than a borrowed one.
• A chameleon's eyes looking two waysYou're keeping watch on two things at once. Pick the one that matters more and give it your full attention.
