Secret room

Hidden room, Hidden door, Secret passage

A door behind a bookcase, a corridor that wasn't there yesterday, a room you somehow never noticed: dreams of secret rooms tend to stay with you for days. Such a room often stands for something you closed off on purpose, like a hope you shelved, a side of you that didn't fit daily life, or a feeling you meant to handle later. Its condition adds detail. Dusty and untouched, it holds something you may be curious to return to. Bright and furnished, it can feel like a place that has been waiting for you all along.

Dream variations

• A door hidden behind furnitureYou've kept something out of sight for a long time, maybe without noticing. Clear the way and have a look.
• A room you visit in many dreamsYour mind keeps coming back to the same theme. Notice what's different each time you return; that's where things are moving.
• Losing the way back to the roomYou glimpsed something that felt important and then lost hold of it. Jot down what you remember before the day takes over.
• Showing the room to someoneYou're letting a person further into your life than most. See how it feels to be known a little better.
