Jackalope
Jackalopes, Horned rabbit, Antlered jackrabbit
The jackalope, a jackrabbit with antlers, is the American West's favorite joke. Its fame took off in the 1930s, when two brothers in Douglas, Wyoming, fixed antlers to a stuffed jackrabbit, and one of their first went on display in a hotel in town. Mounted jackalopes and postcards have filled gift shops ever since, and Douglas still hands out tongue-in-cheek hunting licenses valid for a single day: June 31. A jackalope in your dream carries humor, tall tales and the fun of mixing two things that don't belong together. It may come when life has felt heavy and could use a good laugh.
