Dice
Rolling dice, A pair of dice, A single die
Roll the dice and nobody, not even you, decides how they land. Dice dreams play with chance and with the moments when you hand a decision over to fate. Shaking them in your hand is a sign that you're about to take a step whose result you can't fully control. Watching them tumble for a long time may come from a wait that feels endless. If someone else rolled for you, another person may be making a choice that affects you. Whether you held your breath or shrugged as they rolled shows how easily you live with not knowing.
Dream variations
- Rolling the dice yourselfYou're willing to take a chance and live with the result. Choose your moment, then let the result be what it is.
- Dice that won't stop rollingYou're stuck waiting on a result that's out of your hands. Give the waiting a shape: a walk, a chore, a call to a friend.
- Loaded diceYou sense the odds are tilted, and not in your favor. Take that sense seriously enough to slow down before you put more into it.
- Losing the diceYou'd prefer more say in how things go, not less. Make the next decision on purpose instead of leaving it to chance.
