Fair
County fair, State fair, Agricultural show
Prize pumpkins, homemade pies, freshly brushed calves and blue ribbons pinned to the best of everything: a county fair is a community showing off what it grew and made all year. A fair in a dream often relates to pride in your work, being judged by people who know you and the comfort of traditions that come around every year. Entering something in a contest shows you want your effort recognized. Wandering the midway with its games and fried treats calls up carefree summers. A fair packing up at the end can mark the close of a busy, happy season.
Dream variations
- Your entry wins no prizeYou put your heart into something that wasn't recognized this time. The work still counts; enter again next year.
- Showing an animal at the fairYou're presenting something you've raised with care, like a project or a skill. Be proud of it.
- Playing games on the midwayYou're in the mood for light fun and a little chance. Play for the fun of it, not for the prize.
- The fair packing upThe tents are coming down, but what you made and learned stays with you. Keep one small memento from this busy time.
