Waiter

Waitress, Server, Waiting tables

A waiter stands between the kitchen and the table, taking requests and serving people what they asked for. In a dream the job often points to service, giving and receiving: who looks after whom. Being waited on hand and foot can show you'd enjoy a little pampering for once. Waiting tables yourself may mirror a role where you have to stay polite and quick even when you're tired. A clumsy waiter who drops plates may come from worry about slipping up in front of people.
