Termites

Termite, Woodworm, Termite damage

Termites do their damage out of sight, eating away at wood until a beam that looked fine turns out to be hollow. That makes them a fitting dream image for small, hidden pressures that wear something down over time: a habit, a doubt or a quiet resentment nobody mentions. A termite mound, on the other hand, stays cool inside even under a hot sun, a picture of a home built to suit those who live in it. Watching a structure crumble from inside may show worry about something you rely on. Getting rid of them says you're set on protecting what you've built.
