Swing

Swings, Swing set, Swinging

A swing gives you the feeling of flying while staying safely anchored, and dreams about one often carry that same mix of freedom and security. Swinging high can show joy, playfulness and a wish to let go of grown-up worries for a moment. The back-and-forth motion may also echo a decision you keep going over, leaning one way and then the other. An empty swing moving on its own has a wistful, quiet feel, often tied to memories of childhood. Pushing someone else on a swing is an image of care and encouragement.
