Soap
Bar of soap, Soapsuds, Lather
Soap turns plain water into something that really cleans, so in dreams it's tied to the extra effort it takes to set something right. Rich, foamy lather suggests plenty and a little pampering, while a thin sliver may show you're stretching the last of something. A familiar scent of soap can call up a particular person or place. Little hotel soaps saved in a drawer may hint at trips you remember fondly, or at a habit of keeping nice things for a special day.
Dream variations
- A bar of soap that keeps slipping awaySomething you're trying to hold on to won't stay put. Loosen your grip a little; squeezing harder makes it worse.
- Having your mouth washed out with soapYou're worried something you said was out of line. Apologize if needed, then let it go.
- Making your own soapYou're turning plain ingredients into something useful and lovely. Your handmade approach will be appreciated.
- Running out of soapYou're short of a basic comfort. Restock the simple things before you take on anything big.
