Slugs

Slug, Garden slug, Slime trail

A slug is a snail without a shell, which makes it look slower, softer and more exposed. It often slides into dreams when you feel unprotected, or when a task is creeping along so slowly it seems to stick to everything. Gardeners know slugs as quiet nibblers that leave holes in the lettuce overnight, so they may also stand for small losses eating away at your effort. A slime trail across the path is a mark that lingers after the cause has gone, like an awkward remark or a bad mood. If the slug didn't bother you, you may simply be taking life at an easy pace.
