Sinkhole

Sinkholes, Ground collapsing, Hole in the ground

A sinkhole opens without warning, swallowing what seemed like solid ground. Such dreams tend to appear when something you relied on suddenly feels unsteady, such as a plan, a routine or a relationship. They can also surface when small worries, ignored for a while, seem to give way all at once. If you stepped back from the edge in time, you're likely to notice trouble early in waking life too. Climbing out of a sinkhole is a reassuring image of getting back on solid ground.
