Renovating
Renovating means keeping the bones of a place and changing the rest, and that's often what the dream is saying about your life. You may be improving a routine, a relationship or your own habits without wanting to tear everything down and start over. Knocking out a wall can show a wish for more openness, between rooms or between people. Peeling back layers of old wallpaper tends to stir up memories. If the work dragged on and on, you may be living in the dusty middle of a change, where the old is gone and the new isn't finished yet.
