Prisoner
Prisoners, Captive, Held captive
A prisoner has lost the right to come and go, and dreams of one often come down to a single question: who gets to say what you can and can't do? If you were the prisoner, the dream may point to a role you've been cast in, such as the reliable one or the troublemaker, that others won't let you step out of. Seeing someone else held captive may show that you've kept them tied to an old version of who they were, without realizing it. Old tales are full of captives waiting in towers for rescue, so the dream may also ask whether you're waiting for someone to open a door you could try yourself.
