Parade

Parades, Marching band, Parade float

Bands, floats and confetti turn an ordinary street into a stage for a day. A dream parade is often about visibility: who gets to be seen, and who watches from the curb. Marching in one shows you're prepared to stand behind something in public, alongside others who feel the same. Being a spectator can bring mixed feelings: delight, and the urge to jump in. If the parade was chaotic or rained out, a planned celebration or a big occasion may feel shaky to you.

Dream variations

• Leading a paradeYou're willing to set the pace for others. Keep looking back to make sure they're still with you.
• Playing in a marching bandYour part matters even if it's one note among many. Keep time with the players beside you.
• A parade in your honorYour efforts deserve more applause than you've given them. Mark a recent win with someone who'll cheer.
• A parade heading the wrong wayYou're out of step with a group's direction, or they're out of step with you. Talk it through before you change course.
