Llama

Llamas, Alpaca, Alpacas

Llamas are curious, sure-footed and famously unimpressed, which gives them a comic charm in dreams. In the Andes they carry packs along high mountain paths, so they make a fine image of steady endurance and quiet pride. They're also known to lie down and refuse to budge when a load is too heavy, a fair reminder that you're allowed to say "enough." Their fluffy cousins, alpacas, add softness and comfort.

• Leading a llama on a ropeYou're guiding a stubborn project or person. Go at their pace and you'll both get there.
• Petting a fluffy alpacaYou're longing for some tenderness and simple pleasures. Wrap yourself in them for an afternoon.
• A llama staring at youA silent judgment weighs on you, perhaps your own. Shrug it off; not every look is criticism.
