Jaguar
Jaguars, Black jaguar, Jungle cat
The jaguar is the great cat of the Americas, strong enough to crack a turtle shell and as happy in a river as in a tree. For the Maya and the Aztecs it was linked with rulers, warriors and the night. Dream jaguars often stand for power that moves easily between worlds: land and water, day and night, thinking and feeling. Seeing one up close can be thrilling rather than frightening, a sign you're curious about your own strength. How near you let it come shows how comfortable you are with that power today.
