Holly

Holly bush, Holly berries, Holly wreath

Holly keeps its glossy green leaves and bright red berries through the darkest months, which made it a favorite winter decoration long before Christmas trees. Dream holly speaks of cheer and resilience, the ability to stay lively when everything around you looks bare. Its prickly leaves add a note of protection: something lovely that can still defend itself. Decking a room with holly shows you're adding warmth to a gray season. A holly tree standing alone in a snowy field can show steady character that doesn't change with the weather.
