Hitchhiking
Hitchhiker, Thumbing a ride, Hitching a ride
Standing at the roadside with your thumb out means trusting strangers to take you part of the way. Hitchhiking dreams often appear when you're depending on luck, kindness or other people to get you down the road. They carry a sense of adventure, the open road on almost no money, and a touch of risk at the same time. Getting a ride quickly is a good sign: help is closer than you think. Picking up a hitchhiker yourself turns the dream around: someone may need a lift on their journey, and you're in a position to give it.
