Buffalo

Bison, Buffaloes, Water buffalo

The American bison, usually called a buffalo, is massive, shaggy and calm until pushed, and it once roamed the Great Plains in herds of millions. In a dream it often brings a sense of strength, endurance and plenty, the feeling that you have what you need to get through a long season. In winter bison swing their huge heads from side to side to clear away the snow and reach the grass below, so one may be a sign that you're tougher than the weather around you. In 2016 the bison became the national mammal of the United States, adding a note of pride and staying power.
