Bonfire
Campfire, Bonfire Night, Beach bonfire
A bonfire pulls people out into the dark and gathers them around one big, crackling light. In a dream it often stands for community and celebration, the warmth of being part of a crowd that has come out for the same reason. A bonfire roaring safely suggests strong, shared energy around you. Watching from the edges can show you're not quite sure you belong in the circle yet. A smaller campfire is more personal: a few close faces and the feeling that the night is yours.
Dream variations
- Telling stories around a campfireYou'd like to share a piece of your own history, or hear someone else's. The best stories come out when nobody's in a hurry.
- Throwing old things on the bonfireYou've decided to be done with something for good. Let it burn, and don't go back to poke through what's left.
- A bonfire that won't lightYour plan for a gathering or a fresh start hasn't caught yet. Begin with smaller kindling: one person, one step.
- Sparks rising into the nightSmall hopes are drifting upward. Make a quiet wish and let it go.
