Being thirsty
Thirst is one of the body's plainest signals, and a dream of it usually means something essential has run low. Often it's one of the simple things that refresh you, such as a real conversation, time outdoors or a change from a long, dry routine. Searching for a drink means you know something is missing, even if you can't name it yet. Drinking glass after glass without relief suggests you're trying to fill a need with the wrong thing. If someone handed you a cool drink, you're less alone with this need than you feel.

Dream variations
Drinking and still being thirsty
Something you rely on isn't satisfying you anymore. Look for what you're really craving underneath.
A tap that runs dry
A source you count on, maybe a friend or a routine, has less to give right now. Ask less of it for a while, and it may fill up again.
Sharing your water
You're willing to give even when you have little. That generosity says a lot about you, as long as you stay on your feet too.
Turning down a drink
You're refusing help you actually need, perhaps out of pride. Taking a glass when it's offered is not a sign of weakness.
